DONATE BOOKS

Donations of books, magazines, audio and video tapes that are in good shape (i.e. have covers, aren’t damaged by mildew or otherwise in questionable or "throwaway" condition) may be donated one of two ways:

SMALL QUANTITIES (up to 2-3 boxes)     

 
Small quantities of books can be taken directly to your local library!  Click here to choose a library close to you!
 

LARGE QUANTITIES (car / truck load)

 
Large quantity donations may be taken directly to our Sort Site facility. Dedicated volunteers are on-hand Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00 am – 12:00pm (official hours).

         

The Friends’ Sort Site is connected to the Metropolitan Library System building located at 300 NE 50th Street(View Map)


For immediate assistance on days other than Tuesday or Thursday, please consider hospitals, nursing homes, non-profit agencies that take used books (schools, libraries, etc.), or other library/school book sales. The Friends are unable to make house calls at this time.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
